Transmap’s mobile mapping system combines differential GPS, a high accuracy IMU (inertial measurement unit) and a DMI (distance measurement instrument – wheel counter) with 4 or more digital cameras mounted on top of the ON-SIGHT™ van. All components integrate with a Sick LiDAR scanner to capture accurate, 3D point clouds of the right-of-ways of your roadways.
A HD camera is mounted on top of the LiDAR scanner on Transmap’s mobile mapping van to capture digital images as well as 3D point clouds of every asset along your roadways.
