Gastonia, North Carolina
Gastonia, the largest city in Gaston County, North Carolina, serves as its county seat and is the 13th most populous city in the state. It forms part of the larger Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, NC-SC Metropolitan Area.
In 2018, we began our partnership with Gastonia when we were hired to perform a pavement inspection for the city. We returned in 2023 for a more detailed inspection, analyzing 739 miles of roadways and inputting the gathered data into the PAVER system. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive 5-year work plan that accurately reflects the city's total roadway network. Our assessment also included documenting ADA ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks, road markings, and striping.
In 2023 we returned and gathered new data for 739 miles of roadway and produced a comprehensive 5-year plan for the city.
